Noticeboard

We are trialling a new system called Medlink, to aid our management of patients who have a chronic disease.

When appropriate, patients will receive a text message with a medical questionnaire attached. On completion, this will be reviewed by a clinician who will decide if follow up is required. The option to request a face to face or telephone appointment is offered as part of the questionnaire.

So far, patients who have engaged with this have been positive but if you have further questions about this please contact us on 01631 710229.

Charitable Trust

The Taynuilt Medical Practice Charitable Trust was set up in 2010 following generous bequests to the practice left in the wills  of patients.

The objectives of the Trust are wide ranging and cover most activities that would benefit the health and welfare of the local community.

We are open to any ideas that you might have, either supporting an individual or a group.

The Trust tends to meet twice yearly, May and October, but applications can sometimes be considered outwith these times.

Examples of recent beneficiaries are:

  • North Argyll Carers’ Centre
  • The Volunteer Car scheme
  • Local schools supporting their Outdoor Education programme for Primary 7 pupils
  • Local youths with their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Applications can be made to the Trustees, initially by completing the application form below and sending this to the practice manager, Janice McGhee at Connel Surgery or by email to janice.mcghee@nhs.scot.
